3 Ingredient Baby Pancakes Recipe

This 3 ingredient baby pancakes recipe are one of the simplest and easiest meals to make for your little one! All you need is some flour, eggs, and milk, and you can have a batch of delicious pancakes in no time at all.

These easy pancakes are perfect for toddlers who love to help in the kitchen, and they’re also a great way to get them started on their breakfast routine.

As soon as the girls were able to feed themselves, these pancakes were on the menu. I typically make a batch 1-2 times a week and freeze some for days when I want a quick and easy breakfast.

To be honest, they are one of my favorite toddler breakfast ideas for before preschool or daycare.

They work well with all different fruits and purees, I’ve given some suggestions below.

Each batch makes approx. 10-12 small pancakes.

Ingredients for Baby Pancakes

Toddlers love to eat pancakes, but they can be a little time consuming to make.

These easy 3 ingredient pancakes are perfect for little ones because they are simple and fast to make.

Just mix together some flour,  milk, and eggs, and you’re ready to go!

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 milk or more until the batter is runny.

Directions

These pancakes are so easy to make!

Heat up your frying pan with a little olive/coconut oil or butter. I use olive oil in my pan but you could also use coconut oil.

Combine the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth and runny.

Add in a few extra drops of milk if your batter is too thick.

Add in about half a cup of fruit to the batter and mix in well.

Cook for 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Serve warm with your desired toppings.

Fruits To Add To Your Baby Pancakes Recipe

I like adding different fruits to my pancakes so that my toddler gets used to a wide range of tastes.

You can even split the batter mix in two and make different kinds in one go.

Here are some ideas to try:

Half a mashed banana

1/2 cup blueberries

1/2 cup mashed cherries, raspberries, blackberries or strawberries. I normally use frozen fruit and mash with a fork once it has melted a bit.

1/4 cup of apple sauce

Combinations of the above options such as apple sauce and blackberries are delicious. Raspberries and strawberries make great “pink” pancakes.

You can also use cookie cutters to make cute shapes for holidays. I made these heart ones for Valentine’s Day

Toppings For Your Baby Pancakes

I don’t normally do toppings on my baby pancakes recipe because the added in fruit is enough but if you do want to add some toppings, here are some ideas that work for a toddler:

There are endless possibilities for toppings on pancakes. From sweet to savory, there is a topping for everyone. Here are a few of the best toppings for pancakes:

Butter and maple syrup are classic toppings for pancakes and they never get old.

They are both sweet and delicious, and they go perfectly together.

If you’re looking for something a little more savory, scrambled eggs go great with pancakes.

If you’re in the mood for something fruity, strawberry jam is always a good choice.
