Spa Party Ideas For A Girl’s Birthday Party

If your little girl is hoping for an afternoon of fun and pampering for her next party, you will love these spa party ideas!

I recently hosted a spa party that got the thumbs up from all our guests and I learned some fun tricks and tips to make everything go smoothly.

Whether you’re celebrating a birthday or just planning a special girls’ day in, a DIY spa experience makes kids feel pampered and grown-up.

With a little planning, you can turn your space into a mini oasis filled with cozy robes, sparkly nail polish, and yummy treats.

The great thing is – this party idea works for any budget!

You can keep it simple with DIY nail polish and spa treatments or hire someone to come to the house.

From simple decorations to hands-on activities and take-home goodies, you can plan the ultimate spa day they’ll be talking about long after the polish dries!

Home Spa Party Ideas

To host a good spa party, you need cute spa-like decorations, fun spa-like food and , of course, an awesome cake.

You can start your planning by deciding if you are going for a full at-home spa with girly decorations or a more zen-like experience.
For my party, I went full on pink with robes, decorations and a fun but simple cake.

Here’s what I did plus some extra ideas:

Spa Party Decorations

Transform your space into a soothing spa sanctuary.

Color Theme: Choose soft pastels or white and gold for a chic look.

Lighting: Use fairy lights or battery-powered candles for a calm, glowing ambiance.

DIY Signs: Print signs like “Relax,” “Nail Bar,” and “Facial Station” for each activity area.

Accessories: Set out robes, spa headbands, and mini towels for each guest. A few fresh flowers or greenery will elevate the vibe.

One way to save money on decorations is to use your party favors and spa tools as your decorations.

For example, I gave everyone a pink silk robe at the party so it made sense to hang them all up so they acted as decorations too.

You can also decorate the room with streamers, nail polishes and things such as eye masks, hair bands and nail files.

Spa Party Activities

Of course, you little spa go-ers will need some fun activities to keep them busy.

As not everyone will be able to get their nails done at the same time, it’s a good idea to have various activity stations so everyone is busy.

Here are some ideas that worked great for us:

Manis and Pedis

Obvious but always fun! I gathered every single nail color I had and put them all in the middle of the table.

I then created two stations, one for manis and one for pedis.

The manicure table has gems and small designs that could be added on to the nails.

The pedicure station had basins filled with Orbeez balls that the girls could sock their feet in before getting their toes painted. (for hygiene purposes, it would be a good idea to have one basin per guest).

You will also want to consider getting cheap flip flops and toe separators for the pedicure station.

DIY Lip Scrub

I ordered small little pots from Amazon and then set out containers of sugar and coconut oil with spoons.

I also bought essential oils in different scents for the girls to use to make little pots of lip scrub.

Make sure to put out mixing bowls and spoons too.

To make it more fun, I added sheets of gem stickers so the guests could decorate their pots.

DIY Body Scrub

This is very similar to the lip scrub but for this one I use brown sugar and olive oil mixed in small mason jars.

I framed signs for each of the scrubs with instructions for the guests to follow.

I got the free printables from Pinterest but I can’t find them now, however there are lots of options there.

Spa Word Search

Kids always love a good word search and they keep them busy!

If you don’t use it as a party activity, you can also print these off and use them as part favors.

Spa Party Games

I bought a huge bundle of printable spa games from Etsy – the bundle was an amazing price and there were 20 games included.
I printed off a bunch and left them out on the table so the girls could choose what they wanted to do.

DIY Face Masks

You can make face masks kid-friendly using either bananas, avocados or even yoghurt.

Cut up and leave plates of cucumber slices for the eyes.

Yoga and Meditation

This will depend on your crowd but you could do a fun yoga session.

Take a look on YouTube for some fun ideas.

Spa Party Foods

Keep it light, fun, and kid-friendly! Here are some easy ideas:

Spa Water

Serve water in clear pitchers with floating slices of lemon, cucumber, or strawberries.
Add fancy straws and plastic champagne flutes for a special touch.

Fruit Skewers

Colorful fruit kabobs are easy to prep and look beautiful on a platter

Mini Sandwiches

Think simple tea sandwiches— turkey & cheese, or cream cheese & cucumber.

To make them seem extra fancy, put them on tiered tea plates.

Cookie Decorating Station

Let the kids personalize their own sugar cookies with frosting, sprinkles, and edible glitter.

Spa Party Favors

For my party, I made the tools for the spa as part of the favors.

This meant every girl went home with:

  • Pink robe
  • Sleep mask
  • Hair band
  • Flip Flops
  • Nail file

In addition, they all took their DIY scrubs home which made for a great goodie bag.

Other ideas for pampering favors include:

  • Nail polish
  • Lip Gloss
  • Bath bomb
  • Fancy soap
  • Sheet face mask

Spa Party Cakes

There are so many fun ideas for your spa-themed party cake.

Here are some to consider:

Spa Girl Face Cake

Cupcake Spa Tray

Serve cupcakes on a tray designed like a mini spa station.

Each cupcake can be topped with mini spa items—like rolled towel fondant toppers, mini facials, or eye masks.

Spa Product Cake Pops

Cake pops shaped like little lip balms, nail polish bottles, or wrapped in mini spa towels make a fun alternative or complement to a main cake.
