Davincified Review
Finding activities that keep tweens entertained and away from their screens isn’t always easy, so I’m always excited to discover something creative that the kids genuinely enjoy.
We recently had the chance to try a Davincified painting set, and it was an absolute hit with my 10- and 12-year-old!
From choosing their designs to watching their masterpieces come to life, both kids were completely engaged and had so much fun.

Whether you’re looking for a rainy-day activity, a creative outlet, or a fun way to spend quality time together, this painting set might just be your next family favourite!
What Is Davincified?

Davincified is a brand that makes painting and creativity accessible to everyone through its paint-by-numbers kits.
Instead of staring at a blank canvas and wondering where to begin, you get a pre-printed canvas with numbered sections, matching acrylic paints and brushes to help bring the artwork to life.
There are thousands of designs to choose from, including animals, landscapes, fantasy artwork and even custom paintings made from your own photos.
I love that it gives kids the opportunity to create something that looks like a real piece of art, without needing to be naturally artistic or have any previous painting experience.
Why Is It Great for Tweens and Older Kids?

Finding activities that appeal to tweens can be tricky, especially when they are starting to outgrow traditional crafts and colouring books.
This is where Davincified really shines! My 10- and 12-year-old both loved having their own painting project and being able to create something that felt a little more grown-up.
We chose the Kawaii Sweet Treats Canvas for our craft.

The designs are detailed enough to keep older kids interested, while the numbered sections make the process manageable.
It also encourages patience, concentration and creativity.
Best of all, it gives them a screen-free activity they can work on independently or enjoy together, with a finished painting they can proudly display in their room.
We had fun doing this together as a family craft and it made for an enjoyable hour together while we chatted about our days.
One thing I will mention is that this set is not for very little kids. The paint is acrylic so it does not wash off easily and the designs are quite detailed. This is best for ages 9+
How Davincified Works

We all know what a paint by number kit is. Well, Davincified takes it to the next level.
Each kit comes with a pre-printed canvas featuring numbered sections, matching pots of acrylic paint and brushes in different sizes.
Just like on the old school paint by numbers, the idea is simple: find a number on the canvas, match it to the corresponding paint colour and start filling in the sections.
There is no complicated colour mixing or artistic experience required but the results look professional!
My kids enjoyed watching their pictures take shape, and it was fun seeing how different each painting looked as they progressed.
The nice thing is that you don’t have to complete your picture in one go, it’s an activity you can pick up whenever you have some spare time.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Davincified Set

After trying the Davincified set with my kids, I picked up a few little tricks to make the experience even more enjoyable.
First, use the stickers provided to label the paint pots before you begin. Then open every paint pot before you start to paint as they can be a bit tricky to open.
Keep a cup of water nearby for rinsing brushes and some paper towel for drying them between colours.
As far as the actual painting goes, I recommend starting with the larger sections before moving on to the smaller, more detailed areas.
Where to Buy Davincified

If you’re ready to give your kids a fun new creative activity, you can shop the Davincified collection directly through the official website.
There are tons of designs to browse, so whether your tween loves animals, colourful artwork, fantasy themes or beautiful landscapes, there’s plenty to choose from.
We chose one of the mini kits that comes with 6 smaller canvases and they were just the right size for the kids to do in an hour.
