Once or twice a week, I try to do a themed lunch with the girls and combine it with a book about the food we are eating. It makes eating much more fun for them and teaches new vocabulary.
There are tons of books about food for kids, if you are looking for books about candy or cake, but I actually found it harder than I thought to find lunch food themed stories.
