Creating Your Own Castor Oil Pack For Fertility

To set yourself up with a castor oil kit, you need the following:

Good Quality Castor Oil (organic is a plus)
Wool or cotton flannels like these ones.
Plastic wrap
Hot water bottle or heating pad (made of rice etc).
Bowl or container to soak the flannel in the oil

Instructions for making your own castor oil pack

While you are boiling the water for your hot water bottle, place the flannel in your container and pour on the castor oil.

Make sure the flannel is soaked but not dripping with oil ** castor oil will stain sheets and clothing**.

Place the flannel on your lower tummy and then cover with plastic wrap.
Put the hot water bottle or heating pad on the plastic wrap.
Relax and meditate or enjoy the time to lay down.
Keep the pack on for about 30-45 minutes.

In order to get the maximum benefits from castor oil therapy for fertility, I recommend using the castor oil packs 3-5 times a week for up to an hour each time.

Like most fertility related treatments, it may take up to 3 months to see an improvement in your fertility and well-being.

Combine your castor oil packs for fertility with other natural fertility boosters such as a wholesome fertility diet and exercise such as yoga poses to boost your chances of getting pregnant.

In researching for this article, I looked into the benefits of using self-massage to improve egg quality. One study I found demonstrated that massage therapy improves in vitro fertilization outcome in patients undergoing blastocyst transfer in a cryo-cycle. Source

However I also found that there another study that showed no evidence that massage can improve egg quality or quantity in women with low ovarian reserves or premature ovarian failure or in women with damaged eggs.
